How do I request a letter from IAF and ILAC for my Visa application?
You must first register to attend the meetings. During the registration process you will be asked to enter more information if you require a Visa invitation. Please submit your request for a visa invitation early to avoid unnecessary delays. You can find more information about Canada’s visa requirements by clicking here https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp. Please be sure to apply for your visa as soon as possible in order to avoid delays.
Can I attend these meetings virtually?
The 2023 IAF-ILAC Joint Annual Meetings is an in-person meeting. Virtual participation is not available.
I am not a member of IAF or ILAC, can I still attend the meetings in Montreal?
Meeting participation is open to members of IAF and ILAC, as well as invited guests and limited observers. If you would like to be considered as an observer, please contact the conference organizer by filling out the form and indicate which meetings you are interested in attending. Observers must be approved by Convenors / Chairs of the meetings they wish to attend.
I am unable to pay by credit card; how can I pay for my registration fees?
You must first register to attend the meetings. During the registration process you will be asked about your payment preference. If you select the ‘pay by wire transfer’ option, you will receive an invoice with details of how to pay your registration fees by wire transfer.
I registered for the meetings before the early bird date, but have not made payment – can I still receive the early bird rate?
No. The early bird rate is only extended to delegates who register and pay before the cut-off date (the cut-off date is Friday, 8 September 2023 at 17:00 UTC). It is the responsibility of delegates to ensure their payment is received by the conference organizer prior to the cut-off date. Once the cut-off date passes any delegates whose fees are still outstanding and who do not have a written arrangement for late payment will automatically have their rates adjusted. Unfortunately, no exceptions will be granted.
Can I pay for my hotel room by wire transfer?
The easiest way to pay for your hotel is by credit card. If you are unable to pay by credit card and would prefer to pay by wire transfer, please contact us and we’ll provide you with the contact details of the hotel contact person.
What is the cancellation fee?
Cancellations received on or before 25 September 2023 (17:00 UTC) will receive a full refund less a USD $75.00 administration fee. Cancellations received after 25 September 2023 are not be eligible to receive a refund, but can substitute their registration for another person in their organization.
